15 killed on Gauteng roads this weekend

Gauteng Traffic Police say the province has recorded 15 deaths in 11 crashes in the past 72 hours in the province.

Spokesperson Obed Sibasa says a pedestrian was on Sunday morning knocked down on the N12 westbound near Abu Baker Asvat off-ramp in Lenasia.

“In Diepsloot, unsafe overtaking which resulted in a head-on collision. The minibus taxi driver allegedly under the influence of alcohol fled from the previous hit and run with a light delivery motor vehicle, pursued by security crashed into a light motor vehicle killing the driver and a passenger.”
