Zimbabwean leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Tendai Biti is set to hand himself to police shortly.

This follows violence which erupted on Wednesday at the Harare International Convention Centre, where thousands of members from the opposition demonstrated to the Elections Command Centre as counting of the results was underway.

The opposition was disputing the results of the National Assembly where  Zanu-PF maintained a two thirds majority.

Police’s Charity Charamba says, “I will not be able to provide any answers after we gave a briefing. For now, it’s too early for me to comment on anything. Definitely, (if) we get the information you require we will update.”
