A train is on fire at the Cape Town train station.
The number of carriages alight is unknown at this stage.
Fire and Rescue spokesperson Theo Layne says they have no reports of injuries at this stage.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
“The city’s fire and rescue service responded to Cape Town Railway Station where we have a train that is currently alight. The train is inside the station area and we have three fire fighting vehicles on the scene. At this stage, the number of carriages are unknown due to the thick smoke that is blanketing the area.”
