The 18-year-old learner who allegedly drove into a group of nine learners, killing one, outside Tzaneen in Limpopo has been arrested.

The learner was arrested alongside his 54-year-old father on Tuesday.

Fourteen-year-old Koketso Rahlane died after the suspect lost control of his vehicle.

Police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect and his father are facing several charges including culpable homicide, driving un-roadworthy vehicles and driving motor vehicles without licenses among other charges.

Father and son will appear before the Bolobedu Magistrate’s court outside Tzaneen on Thursday morning.
