There’s an outbreak of African swine fever in the Campbell area outside Kimberley. This is the fifth outbreak of the fever since the first reported epidemic in the province in 2017.

The Gauteng Department of Health says there are no confirmed reports of a swine flu outbreak in the province. The Department is working closely with the National Institute of Communicable Disease to investigate claims of an outbreak.
