Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane says the Gupta family and the African National Congress government have stolen economic opportunities from black South Africans.
He was speaking in Ntuzuma, north of Durban, during the DA’s KwaZulu-Natal leg of the People’s Forum Tour.
Maimane’s remarks are in response to the NPA’s Asset Forfeiture Unit’s decision to take control of the Estina dairy farm in Vrede in the Free State by placing it under curatorship.
Maimane says this ought to have been done four years ago.
He says the empowerment project was used as a front for corruption and money-laundering.
