The mass funeral of five of the six Modikwa Platinum Mine employees killed when their bus was petrol-bombed earlier this month, will take place on Saturday.
The funeral service will take place at a sports ground not far from where the incident happened in Driekop village in Burgersfort, Limpopo.
Fetakgomo-Tubatse Mayor Chorris Phokane spoke at the memorial service for the six on Friday…
“We must be able to stand up and say it cannot be normal that people pass on in the manner in which our comrades, our brothers, our mothers, passed on. This calls for us as the people of Fetakgomo, we must be able to say in our communities – each one becomes the watcher of the next one. When these kinds of things happen we must ask ourselves, where is our humanity?”
