I was denied right of reply: Mufamadi

Former Safety and Security minister Sydney Mufamadi says he was denied the right to participate in the documentary on the late struggle icon Winnie Madikizel-Mandela.

Mufamadi was addressing the media in Cape Town on his side of the story regarding allegations that he sought to implicate Madikizela-Mandela in the murder of activist Stompie Seipei.

There are claims made in the award winning documentary by Pascale Lamche that Mufamadi put pressure on then Police Commissoner George Fivaz to re-start investigations into Madikizela-Mandela.

This was in an effort to have her tried for murder.

Mufamadi says he had no right to censor the documentary.
