Anti-Zuma protesters have called off their #ZumaMustGo march.

The much anticipated #ZumaMustGo march to the Union Buildings has been postponed.

The organisers say they were advised by African National Congress  (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) members, to postpone the march while awaiting the outcome of Monday’s ANC  NEC meeting.

Convener of the march Hangwi Maumela says they are calling for President Jacob Zuma to vacate the office with immediate effect.

“We are postponig the march because there was a bit of misunderstanding on the issue of venue. The issue of the SAPS saying that they do not allow the permission, so some of the NEC members, they had a very serious concern… and then they engaged us to say ‘hold on a bit… Wait for the announcement this afternoon, so if things don’t go your way then we can continue with the strike’. So we’ve been asked to postpone it.”
