Traffic came to a standstill in Empangeni where former President Jacob Zuma led a voter registration drive in the town.

Zuma drew a large crowd as he walked through the town’s taxi rank. He addressed a few hundred people who had gathered around him. Zuma urged the youth to register to vote.

The former President said South Africa’s future depends on the youth.  He also interacted with people and encouraged them to have their addresses verified.

Zuma is expected to continue his voter registration campaign in Durban on Sunday.
