President Jacob Zuma‘s son, Edward, says the Zuma family has confidence in the current ANC leadership, adding that they will respect whatever decision it will take regarding the President’s future.
Edward Zuma’s statement comes on the heels of another statement, distancing the family from the furore surrounding the first-lady Thobeka Madiba-Zuma’s comments on Instagram.
Madiba-Zuma posted a picture of her and President Zuma with a status in isiZulu which translates “Don’t fight with someone who isn’t fighting back‚ things are about to get ugly”.
Edward Zuma was speaking in an exclusive interview with SABC News.
“As a family we cannot say anything up until the ANC speaks and takes a decision. We are in support of the leadership, and we trust that the leadership that was elected in Nasrec is capable enough to take that particular decision for the good of the country. The whereabouts of the President, I cannot be keeping track on the President so his whereabouts I am not sure…”
