Zulu urges society to help fight child abuse

Social Services Minister Lindiwe Zulu has urged civil society to help fight child abuse. Zulu says government cannot do it alone. She was speaking during an event to mark the end of Child Protection Week in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga.

Zulu called on communities to assist government in protecting women and children.

Minister Zulu engaged communities about the scourge. She called on communities to partner with government, in its fight against child abuse.

The children took to the stage to showcase their talents but it was not long before pertinent issues were raised. Some told the minister that they don’t feel safe at home.

Minister Zulu says the safety and well-being of the children should be everybody’s responsibility.
