Zille will not run for re-election

Democratic Alliance (DA) Leader Helen Zille has announced that she is not going to run for re-election at the party’s upcoming Federal Congress on May 9.

#HelenZille announces that she is not available for re-election as DA Leader at the DA Federal Congress on 9 May.

Zille announced this after being locked in an urgent meeting at a hotel near the OR Tambo International Airport in Kempton Park. She did also mention that she will complete her second term as the Premier of the Western Cape until 2019.
