Top performers of the matric class of the 2017 in the Western Cape in National Senior Certificate exams are to be honoured for their excellence by Provincial Premier Helen Zille.
The star pupils will be hosted by the Premier and Provincial Education Minister, Debbie Schafer during an awards ceremony at the Premier Residence, Leeuwenhof on Thursday.
The province came third on the national list with an overall average of 82.8%. The top learner in the country is Janke van Dyk from Bellville High School.
