KwaZulu-Natal African National Congress (ANC) Provincial Chairperson Sihle Zikalala has questioned why Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa was quiet all along when he believed that the late Fezekile Khuzwayo also known as Khwezi was allegedly raped by President Jacob Zuma.

Zikalala was addressing the party’s rally in Clermont outside Durban.

Speaking to the media on Thursday night, Ramaphosa said he believed that Khwezi was indeed raped. Zikalala took a swipe at Ramaphosa.

“It is true that it is wrong to speak about the late to score political points. But I agree with those people who are questioning why Ramaphosa was quite if he believed what Khwezi said was true.”

“I am not surprised by Ramaphosa’s desperation it is the very same desperation he shown in 1994 when he was not elected as deputy president of the country, he resigned as ANC secretary general. He did not even attend Mandela’s inauguration because he was bitter.”
