Around 200 people have joined President Cyril Ramaphosa on one of his health walks from Lookout Hill in Khayelitsha to Rocklands Civic Centre in Mitchells Plain near Cape Town.

The walk started at 5AM proceeded from Mew Road down Spine road towards Mitchells Plain.

Young and old have come out at the crack of dawn Wednesday morning to walk with the President.

While walking, Ramaphosa is also listening to issues that local residents are facing.

He has encouraged walking for a healthier lifestyle for all South Africans.

Ramaphosa recently also walked from the Gugulethu Sports complex to Athlone stadium shortly after he was elected.
