A Meeting between International Relations Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane and her Nigerian counterpart, Geoffrey Onyeama is underway in Pretoria.
The meeting is expected to address tensions resulting from a recent spate of attacks against foreigners, especially in parts of Johannesburg and Pretoria.
It’s also part of regular diplomatic engagements between South Africa and Nigeria with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties.
A delegation from Nigeria’s Senate is expected at Parliament on Tuesday to engage with South African MPss on similar issues.
