The American has had a break out year that's seen him rise to world number 6.

The world’s best golfers are in Augusta for the first major tournament of the years, the United States (US) Masters.

The favourites this year remain the usual current and former world number ones, such as Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy.

American Ricky Fowler has the best record at the Majors of any player not to have actually won one. Also being talked about is .

The American has had a break out year that’s seen him rise to world number 6.

He is often referred to as the mad scientist, for the calculated and methodical way he approaches his game and the courses he plays on.

“I think that I prepare as much as is possibly allowed here. I think my preparation is a little more intense I would say, I have to work a little harder to get some insight into some things than other places. There are four South Africans in the field – Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Justin Harding, Charl Schwartzel, Trevor Immelman, and amateur Jovan Rebula, Etnie Els’ nephew.
