Witnesses have continued to contradict murder-accused, Sandile Mantsoe‘s account of events surrounding his girlfriend’s killing.  Mantsoe is on trial in the High Court in Johannesburg for the murder of Karabo Mokoena.

Mokoena’s charred remains were discovered in an open veld in Lyndhurst, north of Johannesburg, in April last year.

Mantsoe has denied killing Mokoena.

Earlier a police officer, Pule Kotelo refuted claims by Mantsoe that he asked a security guard to help him open his Sandton Sky apartment as he didn’t have his keys. Mantsoe said when the door was opened they found Karabo Mokoena’s body lying on the apartment floor with pills strewn around her.

But Kotelo says there was no record on the entry book of Mantsoe asking a security guard to help him open his apartment. A security guard from Sandton Sky also testified that he only assisted Mantsoe on April 29 a day after Mokoena’s death and that he didn’t go inside the apartment.
