William Nicol Drive near the Diepsloot Mall, north of Johannesburg is blockaded due to a protest.
Traffic has been heavily affected.
Employees of a construction company working in the area are believed to be angry that they have not been paid for the past four months.
Police are on scene and are trying to re-open the road.
Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Edna Mamonyane says, “We’ve dispatched Metro police officers to the area to ensure that no motorist is injured or vehicles are affected. But we will engage with them and see if we can be able to open the roads because traffic is starting to build up as people go to work.”
