West Indies secure victory after beating Bangladesh by four runs

The West Indies have kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals of the International Cricket Council’s Women’s World Cup in New Zealand.

They’ve beaten Bangladesh by four runs in Tauranga.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first. They restricted the Windies to 140 for the loss of nine wickets. Nahida Aktar was the most successful and economical bowler for Bangladesh, taking two for 23 in her ten overs.

Bangladesh were then bowled out for 136 in the final over of the match.

Afy Fletcher took three for 29 in her ten overs to secure the win for the Windies.

They will play Pakistan next on Monday.
