Reading Time: < 1 minute

Scores of people are expected to attend a welcome home prayer for former President Jacob Zuma in Nkandla, northern KwaZulu-Natal, on Thursday.

The prayer is organised by the National Interfaith Council of South Africa and the Commission for Religious Affairs.

The two have been in support of the former head of state since his recall from presidency and legal challenges.

According to one of the organisers, Bishop Vusi Dube they will thank Zuma for the role he played in the fight for radical socio-economic transformation in the country.

Bishop Dube dismissed rumours that a new political party will be formed. He adds that they have heard of such rumours in the media but they are not part of it.
