‘We are unhappy, for the type of life that South Africa is giving us’

When millions of South Africans voted for the first time in 1994, any thought that their lives would change. Maria Davids, a pensioner living at Kgosi Village inside the SANDF Lohatla base camp, outside Postmansburg in the Northern Cape, feels that life hasn’t changed since 1994.
