Reading Time: < 1 minute

Gauteng residents should brace themselves for water supply disruptions from Monday to Wednesday.

Several areas of the province will be without water, due to a new system being installed by Rand Water. Rand Water says they will be installing a new pipe that will increase the amount of water that’s being drawn from the Vaal River into their treatment plant and increase supply to local municipalities.

Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu, together with the Chairperson and CEO of Rand water, will be briefing the media on Monday to outline contingency plans that will be put in place.
