The National Assembly is currently considering the Political Party Funding Bill. The Bill, if enacted into law, will ensure that all political parties represented both in the national and provincial legislatures disclose their private financial donors.
They will declare all their financial donations to the Independent Electoral Commission.
Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Committee on Funding of Political of Parties Vincent Smith told the house that the envisaged Bill should have been passed a long time ago.
Political parties are debating in Parliament the funding bill.
