The Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape Provincial Departments of Health on hospital services in their provinces are reporting to the Health Portfolio Committee.
The Minister of Health Aaron Motsoaledi acknowledged in his Budget Vote that Health Services are in crisis.
Motsoaledi says his department faces a challenge of overcrowding. He says some of the challenges are not under his jurisdiction – but that of the provincial departments of health.
