EFF leader Julius Malema is attending a prayer service at the Faith Gospel Church in Khutsong west of Johannesburg.
His message is expected to centre on the party’s campaign for the 2019 elections.
Khutsong was reintegrated into Gauteng in 2008 after protracted protests.
Young people on the streets, that make up the 70 000 population of Khutsong, many of them unemployed, are particularly excited about Malema’s visit.
