ANC veteran and struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela is hailed for taking the apartheid regime head on. In this video, she speaks of her detention experiences. The detail experiences are contained in her book 491 days which is a collection of exchange letters with her ex-husband and former president Nelson Mandela. In the book she shares how the South African security police stormed her Soweto home and arrested her in the presence of her two young daughters, then aged nine and ten.
