The 2018 national Human Rights Day which coincides with the centenary celebration of former President Nelson Mandela is underway.
Deputy President David Mabuza will address the main Human Rights Day events in Sharpeville in the Vaal.
The day commemorates 69 protesters who were killed by the apartheid security forces during the anti-pass law protest in Sharpeville in the Vaal on the 21st of March 1960.
