Cyril Ramaphosa was earlier elected new State President.

Cyril Ramaphosa was earlier elected new State President.

Cyril Ramaphosa is officially being sworn in as President of South Africa.

Ramaphosa, who is the president of the ruling-African National Congress (ANC), was elected unopposed on Thursday afternoon.

He takes over from former President Jacob Zuma who  resigned on Wednesday night.
