The Cape Town High Court is ruling in an application in which Mayor Patricia de Lille is challenging her expulsion from the DA.
Judgment was reserved earlier this month after argument was heard before a full bench.
De Lille’s legal team argued that her expulsion from the party was illegal and unconstitutional, while the party contends that her membership ceased after she made a public intention to resign.
De Lille was reinstated as Mayor by the court pending the outcome of her application.
