Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa is making an announcement on the preservation of the Freedom Charter documents at an event in Lillies Farm.
Today marks the 63rd anniversary of the adoption of the #FreedomCharter.
More than six decades ago, the Congress of the People’s meeting adopted the Freedom Charter in Kliptown, south of Johannesburg.
This morning we will commemorate the 63rd anniversary of the adoption of the #FreedomCharter at the Liliesleaf Farm in Rivonia. President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the keynote address and former President Kgalema Motlanthe will also address this auspicious occasion. pic.twitter.com/F1BDoRQ9rb
