Nine people, including police and security officers are appearing in the Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court in connection with some murders during the August 2012 unprotected strike at Lonmin mine in Marikana in the North West.
The nine are charged with the murders that happened on August the 13th in Marikana.
The other charge relates to their failure to report that one of the arrested mineworkers following the August 16 tragedy died in full view of the police.
