Garg and Sharma pulled a partnership of 77 runs with Garg hitting his maiden unbeaten half-century of the tournament and taking the total to 164 runs.

Skipper David Warner was all praises for youngsters Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma, who led Sunrisers Hyderabad to win over an experienced Chennai Super Kings side by seven runs, on Friday, in their Indian Premier League match.

After the quick departure of Hyderabad’s top order, including Warner and Kane Williamson, Garg and Sharma pulled a partnership of 77 runs with Garg hitting his maiden unbeaten half-century of the tournament and taking the total to 164 runs.

In response, Chennai could only score 157 runs despite MS Dhoni’s unbeaten 47 and Ravindra Jadeja’s quick 50.

Both Chennai and Hyderabad will play their next game on Sunday (October 04) against Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians respectively.
