Reading Time: 2 minutes

Vuyo has been with Morning Live on SABC 2 since its inception. He made his television debut in 1993 for SABC 3, then TSS, as a Continuity Presenter and worked his way up to Sports Presenting and as a News Anchor. Vuyo started his radio career on SAfm in 1995 when he teamed up with veteran broadcaster Paddy O’Bryne. A highlight early in his career was in 1996 when Vuyo was the SABC Anchor in Atlanta, Georgia for the Olympics. Over the past 12 years of Morning Live, Vuyo has interviewed a wide range of local and international celebrities, politicians and sports personalities. His overarching memory of over a thousand of his prolific interviews, was his one on one with South Africa’s first democratic President Nelson Mandela. In addition to his illustrious career on the SABC’s premier morning show, Vuyo has hosted many special broadcasts for the news division including his position as a key anchor during prime time slots for the past few democratic elections. On a personal note Vuyo remembers well the days when banned individuals and organizations were not part of the news agenda which has made his present day commitment to public broadcasting a key part of his personal agenda and professional career.
