In this week’s Global COVID-19 Wrap, SABC News captures highlights from the African continent, Europe, Asia, and the Americas – as the number of confirmed infections worldwide rise. It’s currently at over 7.6 million with more than 3.8 million recoveries and deaths well over 424 000.
As of 11 June, South Africa’s confirmed cases are at 58 568. Deaths have risen to 1284.
On the rest of the continent, 52 African Union Member States have so far reported 220 558 cases, 5 892 deaths and 101 307 recoveries.
