AmaZulu, one of the oldest clubs in South Africa, was rejuvenated by the new owner, Sandile Zungu, who brought in Benni McCarthy as the coach in December.

The club has lost just once since the 13 January, their run saw them announced as the DSTV Premiership third quarter winners on Tuesday.
“I am very proud of our boys. I am so very proud of the technical team that worked so hard to deliver the performance and the outcomes. If we achieved 100 percent… I would have been absolutely thrilled but the truth of the matter is that 20 out of 24 is better than even the first quarter and the second quarter. We did better than the winners in those two quarters.They did very well,”says Zungu.
