It has emerged that cameras at the crime scene captured the car that four hitmen that businessman Stanley Leshabane allegedly hired to kill his wife were using. The eighth state witness Gerhard Kotze is testifying in the High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo.

Leshabane and three co-accused are on trial for the murder of Leshabane’s wife Makoena Mabusela-Leshabane and her business partner Tebogo Mphuthi in Polokwane in 2020.

State witness Kotze, who has been a police detective for 29 years, told the court that he acquired video footage of the car that the accused were traveling in when they shot and killed two women.

He said in the video footage, the accused could be seen in the car moving from Polokwane towards Gauteng. Kotze said the vehicle that was used belongs to Richard Zulu.

Zulu is also one of the accused who died in prison after a short illness.  All the five accused were arrested in Gauteng shortly after the two women were buried.
