Musician and music producer Ashish Joshi, who collaborates with Steve Newman, discusses the tabla, Indian music and how it is supported in South Africa.
Joshi grew up listening to R&B, rap, Bollywood music and bhajans. These, and old Bollywood music in particular, influenced his musical style. He plays rock concerts, satsangs and of course the National Arts Festival.
