The playlists are made up of songs inspirational African music.

Apple Music is celebrating Africa Month this May with a campaign themed around Umoja.

Umoja is a South African theatre production that has been celebrated around the world.

The campaign also shines a spotlight on the new generation of African artists who are changing the narrative in the music industry in South Africa and around the world.

Artists from Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe and South Africa are among those taking part in the campaign.

The playlists are made up of songs inspirational African music.

Video: SABC News speaks to Nviiri the storyteller from Kenya, vocalist Sha Sha from Zimbabwean and DJ Cuppy from London.
