Vicki Momberg was found guilty on four counts of crimen injuria in November last year.

Former real estate agent Vicki Momberg has spend her first night in jail after the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in the north of Johannesburg denied her bail on Wednesday.

Momberg was earlier sentenced to three years imprisonment. One year of the sentence was suspended for three years.

Momberg was found guilty on four counts of crimen injuria in November last year.

This followed her racist rant towards police officers who were trying to assist her after a smash and grab incident.

The court found that Momberg had used the K-word more than 40 times.

Her application for leave to appeal will be heard next week Wednesday.

Senior state prosecutor Yusuf Baba says has been sent to every race and every person in the country. ‘This cannot go on any longer.’
