Three veterans will return to the South African squad for the Proteas’ first ever day/night cricket test starting on Boxing Day in Port Elizabeth.
The match is also the first four-day Test for about 60 years.
A.B. de Villiers will return to Test cricket after an almost two-year absence.
His last test match was against England at Super-Sport Park in January 2016. Joining De Villiers in the Test squad are fast bowlers Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander who have both recovered from injuries.
