The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (Contralesa) has called the Zulu nation to use the passing of the nation’s regent, Queen Mantfombi MaDlamini Zulu, to unite.

The Queen passed away on Thursday night in Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg at the age of 65. Her death comes about a month after she was appointed regent in accordance with the wishes of her late husband, King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu.

This happened at a time when the Zulu nation was still licking their wounds after the passing on of our majesty King Zwelithini. We call upon Zulu Nation to remain strong under this difficult circumstances we are with them. We are saying may her soul rest in peace,” Chief Mokoena adds.
