A 25-year-old student from the University of Zululand, accused of killing his roommate is expected to appear at the Mthunzini Magistrate’s Court in northern KwaZulu Natal on Tuesday.
The accused allegedly stabbed to death his 20 year old roommate‚ Sazi Ngubo after an alleged altercation at their room last week.
Other students had also attacked the accused after the stabbing incident which resulted in the accused being hospitalised.
Last week the suspect appeared in Mthunzini Magistrates Court in absentia due to severe injuries he sustained.
The accused is expected to make his formal bail application.
