The long awaited unification title fight between South Africa’s Zolani Tete and the American based Filipino, Nonito Donaire, will take place in the US on April, 13th.

At stake will be two titles, Tete’s World Boxing Organisation bantamweight crown and Donaire’s World Boxing Association super bantamweight crown.

The fight is also a semi-final for the money spinning World Super series. The finalists will fight for millions of dollars as well as the Muhammad Ali belt.

Although Tete has fought in several countries, he’ll be making his US debut in April.

“Remember Zolani has fought 31 fights – 60% of this fights where outside South Africa. He has been to Mexico, Argentina, Japan, you can mention them, lately to Russia, so it’s not anything new to the US,” said Manager Mlandeli Tengimfene
