Two KZN men accused of murder to appear in court

The men face a murder charge and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The two men accused of killing African National Congress(ANC) activist Bongani Mkhize are expected to appear in the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court in the south of Durban.

In their last appearance the two abandoned their bail application.

The accused – siblings Mfanafuthi and Andile Zulu are accused of killing Mkhize who was the ANC Youth League chairperson at the Coastal College.

He was gunned down while returning from an ANC Provincial Elective Conference.

The men face a murder charge and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

It is alleged that the accused claimed they were owed R500 by the deceased.
