Two people have been killed and six wounded in a tavern shooting in Malamulele, Limpopo. The wounded have been taken to hospital.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says a gang of about eight men entered a tavern and started shooting randomly.
Ledwaba says a high-level task team has been set up to start to investigate.
“The Provincial Commissioner of South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered a high-level Investigation into the circumstances that led to the shooting which left two people dead while six sustained injuries.”
