Democratic Alliance (DA) leaders have raised thousands of rands for disadvantaged learners.
The initiative by the DA MP and former national spokesperson, Solly Malatsi and Gauteng Member of Provincial Legislature, Makashule Gana, ran over 500 kilometres from Soweto, Gauteng to Tzaneen in Limpopo.

The two have been running for the past sixteen days with rest periods in between. They are excited about reaching their final destination.
“Today we did 27 kilometres, which brings our total to 523, we are more thankful to everyone who supported this because it was never about me and Solly it was about the learners.
And we would like to emphasize that we are passionate about their education, so far what is in the bank and what has been saved it is just over two hundred and fifty thousand rand.”
