Two suspects have been arrested on a conspiracy to commit murder in Dewetsdorp in the Free State.

Police say they followed information about the two alleged hitmen and traced them to a part of Morojaneng.

A firearm loaded with five live rounds of ammunition was found on one of the suspects.

A case of conspiracy to commit murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm has been opened.

The suspects will appear in the Dewetsdorp Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
