Two arrested members of parliament in the Kingdom of Eswatini are expected to appear in court for bail application. They are facing charges of terrorism relating to the violent protests in which several people were killed and many properties destroyed last month.

Mabuza is facing additional charges of disobeying coronavirus regulations. He allegedly addressed a gathering at which the lockdown regulations were not followed.

The two are among the people who are advocating for electoral reforms in that country.

The two  members of parliament, Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube were arrested last Sunday. They are accused of inciting violent protest actions. Leaders of pro-democracy groups called on the citizens of Eswatini to march in support of Dube and Mabuza.
